Big Darby Accord update
The Big Darby watershed is one of the Midwest’s most biologically diverse ecosystems.
The Big Darby Accord is designed to protect this precious environmental resource, and it is undergoing its first major update in over 20 years.

Welcome, Joey Smith
Joey joined the Hilliard Environmental Sustainability Commission at our January meeting in a swearing in ceremony presided over by City Council Representative Cynthia Vermillion.
Joey Smith is a Research Scientist in the Department of Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering at The Ohio State University.
Joey is a water resources engineer and researcher specializing in sustainable urban water management. He also serves as a board member and science committee co-chair for Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed (FLOW), advises the Green Conservation Venturing Crew, and is a trainee in the Madison County Master Gardener Volunteer program.
He enjoys collaborating with neighbors and friends in Hilliard to protect local water resources and promote environmentally sustainable development.
