April 28, 2014Do you have a broken computer or TV sitting in your basement that you need to throw away but haven’t gotten to yet? Do you have old, outdated cell phones stashed around your house and need a reason finally get rid of them? Bring them and your other broken and outdated electronics to the Free E-Waste Disposal at the Hilliard Earth Day event! From 10 – 12 on April 26th, you can bring various unwanted electronics to the Hilliard Community Center, located at 3800 Veterans Memorial Drive, to be disposed of and recycled for other purposes. Not only are you cleaning out your house, but also you will be taking a great step towards protecting the environment.
This fantastic event will be provided by Accurate IT Recycling Services, a leader in providing e-waste recycling services to businesses, organizations, and communities.
Items that are accepted for disposal: Pretty much anything that plugs in or takes a battery! This includes computers and accessories, cables, small appliances, cell phones, printers, cameras, battery chargers, cell phones, and much, much more!
What is not accepted: Dehumidifiers, refrigerators, air conditioners, Freon containing equipment, light bulbs, chemicals, hazardous material waste, leaking/damaged batteries, alkaline batteries, and aerosol/pressure air canisters.
