August 6, 2014The ESC is proud to announce that it was recently awarded a $13,000 grant from the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) to provide recycling bins for City of Hilliard parks! The funds received from this grant will be used to place fifty 60-gallon portable plastic recycling bins in various parks and public spaces around the Hilliard community. The bins can also be used for highly-attended city events such as the 4th of July Parade and Old Hilliard Fest. The funds will also be used to purchase ten ornamental permanent recycling bins to be used in certain significant areas such as First Responders Park and the Hilliard Historical Village.
The ESC anticipates that the bins will be placed throughout the Hilliard community by the end of the summer. Â The ESC is pleased that due to the generosity of SWACO, the residents of Hilliard will have greater access to recycling.
