Everyday recycling at the Municipal Center
3800 Municipal Way, Hilliard, OH 43026
Hilliard's own Styrofoam and Composting recycling centers are open 7 days a week and 24 hours a day.
You can drop off clean, non-food Styrofoam packaging at any time at Hilliard's Styrofoam Shack, located next to the densifier shed, across from the Municipal Building. Between the Municipal Administration Building and the Little League Fields, you can find the Composting bins, open at all hours.
Plastic Grocery Bags
Kroger, Giant Eagle, and Meijer
Hilliard retailers such as Kroger and Giant Eagle receptacles collect soft plastic bags (not limited to but including grocery bags) for recycling.
It’s important that the plastic bag be thin and soft, about the consistency of a plastic grocery bag. If it crinkles, it will not be able to be recycled through these programs.
Electronics
RenTek, Accurate IT, and Staples
Businesses such as RenTek, Accurate IT, and Staples will recycle computers and other household electronics in Franklin County.
Go Green Hilliard also holds semi-annual Recycling Drive which include electronic recycling.
Medicines and Prescriptions
Hilliard Police
Hilliard Police hosts a drop-off box for sustainable and responsible unused prescription medication disposal in the Safety Services building throughout the year, with an additional drive-thru special collection once a year.
