The Field Guide to Citizen Science: How You Can Contribute to Scientific Research and Make a Difference
January 19, 2021
Throughout this webinar there were additional reminders about recycling dos and don’ts. You may think you have been recycling correctly, but are you? The following items should NOT be thrown into your recycling bin–prescription pill bottles, berry containers, pump dispensers, or dirty containers (for example peanut butter containers and lids must be clean, or do not throw them in the recycling). Never throw takeout food containers, clothing, plastic grocery bags, batteries, ropes, garden hoses, metal, etc into your recycling bin! It is important to note that even if an item has a recycle symbol on the packaging that does not necessarily mean it can be placed in your bin and sent to Rumpke.
