Top Holiday Sustainability Tips Brought to You by Go Green Hilliard
December 20, 2019Earth Day Celebration Postponed
March 18, 2020Thank you for all of your help collecting bottle caps! We were overwhelmed by our community’s response and you well exceeded our initial goal — we collected over 2,000 pounds of bottle caps! Our recycled-material benches will be unveiled at our Earth Day celebration on April 25, 2020 (stay tuned for more details).
Our bottle cap collection has concluded. But we have several other collections currently taking place:
– Holiday greeting cards (through end of January)
– Empty trigger spray bottles (rinsed out) (through end of April)
– Broken crayons (no date limit)
– Dried out markers (no date limit)
– Household batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, and 9-Volt) (no date limit)
– Hygiene items (empty toothpaste tubes, floss containers, deodorant containers, mouth wash bottles, soap wrappers, and dry tooth brushes) (no date limit)
– Empty medicine vials (labels removed) (no date limit)
All of these items can be dropped off at the Hilliard Community Center.
Thank you again for this amazing response! We can’t wait to unveil the benches!
