Coordinating space for all these events has been quite a feat! Click here for our updated Event Map available at Go Green Hilliard and Google Maps here.
Gate 5 One-Way Entrance on Northwest Parkway to the Recycling Drive: For the Recycling Drive, all traffic must enter through Gate 5 on Northwest Parkway and immediately turn to the East into the parking lot. Volunteers will gather information about what items you’ve brought to recycle and collect any cash if necessary for Electronic items (full Electronic recycling guidelines available here).
They will direct you through the one-way traffic South in the most efficient manner to allow you to hit all the recycling areas that you need. Please continue to follow your route and continue along the one-way exits from the Fairgrounds up through Gate 4 or, if you’d like to join the Walk and Serve, head West along the two-way traffic in green to the Walk and Serve area.
All Exits Gate 4 One-Way: Walk and Serve and Recycling Drive exit
Gate 3 One-Way Entrance on Northwest Parkway to the Walk and Serve: If you joined the Walk and Serve first, that Entrance is Gate 3. Please completely exit the Fairgrounds through Gate 4 and re-enter through Gate 5 to enter the Recycling Drive.
You can sign up here to volunteer for the event with us!
Recycling Event Schedule
The recycling collection this year will be the same as previous years:
- RenTek will again be collecting electronics. Some items do have a disposal fee: CRT monitors are $30; printers/scanners/fax machines are $3 each; MACs are $50 each; tube/projection tvs are $3 per inch, and LCD/flat screens are $10 each. All fees must be paid IN CASH. No exceptions. No hazardous materials, smoke detectors, alkaline batteries, fire extinguishers, small appliances, tapes, disks, or books.
- The City of Hilliard will collect polystyrene Styrofoam at the event. Please no tape, no food containers, no peanuts, no “flexible” foam, and no colored polystyrene. This collection will be in addition to the everyday Styrofoam drop-off across from the Municipal Building, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- MidOhio ReStore (Habitat for Humanity) will be taking functioning household goods. Please visit their website to learn what is acceptable to donate.
- Office-type paper will be shredded onsite by Black Ops Destruction. As always, we ask that you remain in the car as we take your material to the machine. 3 banker boxes (16”L by 12”W by 10.5”H) per car is the maximum. We will quickly inspect each box or bag to ensure that there is nothing that could jam or break the shredder and do reserve the right to reject boxes of materials. Additionally, any box brought will need to go home with you, but empty!
